Many Rev B boards did *not* infact have Rage Pro Turbo, just Rage Pro, the

Turbo was released in all beige G3 Macs made after August 12, 1998, so

Thomas relying on that may raise more questions.

It is a shame his G3 wasn't 300mhz, because all of those were Rev B or

higher, which would have saved some trouble!

Rage Pro Turbo boards are Rev. 3.

I have several /266 DTs and /300 and /333 MTs, and all have Rev. C ROMS and
Rev. 3 motherboards.

Motherboards are:

1) Rev. 1 - Rage II+,

2) Rev. 2 - Rage Pro, and

3) Rev. 3 - Rage Pro Turbo.

It is for this reason that there are three revisions of the ROM:

1) Rev. A - corresponds to the Rev. 1 motherboard,

1) Rev. B - corresponds to the Rev. 2 motherboard (fixes the Slave support,
adds support for Rage Pro),

1) Rev. C - corresponds to the Rev. 3 motherboard (fixes the Slave support,
adds support for Rage Pro Turbo).

Most /266 machines were Rev. 1/Rev. A. However, very late /266s were Rev.
3/Rev. C.

IIRC, all /233 machines were Rev. 1/Rev. A, some /300 machines were Rev.
2/Rev. B (but most were Rev. 3/Rev. C) and all /333 and faster machines were
Rev. 3/Rev. C.

As I said, the debate continues!
