Hi, I recently found a copy of Virtual PC 2.1 at a garage sale. CD, manuals, registration card and a Windows 95 disk. It appears to install OK on my beige G3/300, OS 9.1, and all the Windows files seem to be there in the directory. However, when I try to boot it, it launches the DOS window, which remains blank (ie no startup messages) and crashes my whole system, requiring a full power-down and power-up to restart. I have tried this on a stripped down extensions set, and on OS 8.6, and nothing seems to work. It says on the box it will run on a G3.
As you can probably guess from my buying software at garage sales, I don't exactly have the money to fork out for an upgrade. Running Windows is merely a bonus. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Cheers, -- David Clae Gason, Secretary, Melbourne Wireless mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://wireless.org.au "God picks up the reed-flute world and blows.
