Good advice. Haven't played with 2.1 for a long time. There is usually a menu on the menu bar, in VPC 5 it is called windows, that has an option Virtual PC List, where you can select the system you want to start up from. Don't remember if it is in 2.1 tho. The settings window which Paris recommends looking into, will usually be found in the edit menu. Contact me offlist, I may have a upgrade to 3 we can bargain on if you wish. I upgraded all the way to 5 and am using 98SE when I have to, but am restricted to the 500 MB disk that 95 left me with.
