Hello All I currently have a full-up and running a B&W / G4 500 ZIF upgrade/ 1025MB installed RAM/ OS9.2.1 with:
- PCI ATI Video card running a 2nd monitor -Adaptek SCSI PCI card driving external Burner/Scanner/Hard drive string -SIIG 133/100 PCI IDE controller drving an IBM 60GXP 40GB -12GB IDE Hard drive hangnmg on the MOBO -DVD 6X ROM / 32x read Just received the OS X CD kit: -CD OS10.0.3 -CD 10.1 Upgrade Cannot install 10.0.3 on a dedicated partition either hard drive ( 6GB and 20GB, respectively) Get error message "unable to install software--" Looked at the Instalation Log. There is a line stating "target disk appears OK", but the rest is "greek" to me! Can anybody out there help me ? Do I have to retrofit all my upgrades back to the Apple Stock configuration ( removve all PCI cards /hardware and back to the original 350MHz G3 ZIF) to install OSX or ? thanks to all that reply albert -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
