I don't think so, If I remember correctly the only thing which 
effects performance on a Master/Slave config is the fact that 
performance of both drives is governed by the slowest drive. So if 
you have an ATA/66, and an ATA/100 on the same cable the ATA/100 will 
only work at ATA/66 speeds regardless of the bus they're connected to.
