Then reality dawned on me: A film image has a birth certificate: the negative or the slide. The digital image has only a file; and even that file is usually manipulated. Please remember also that enlarging a digital image is still a matter of interpolation -- that is inserting pixels that aren't original to the scene. If you're doing ad work, those considerations aren't a problem. But if you're involved in field photography or historical journalism the advantages of film photography become primary. Once you exclusively use digital cameras can you say to the world: Trust me? I wouldn't trust myself with a digital camera. Much less others.
