I have a 500 MHz G4 running OS 9.2.1 and OS X 10.1.5 in my Rev B mobo AIO. AFAIK, the fastest MHz yield you can get from a G4 ZIF in Gossamer systems will be limited to 9x bus ratio, and depends on the highest bus speed setting your particular mobo will tolerate. Stock 66.6 MHz setting will let you run a G4 up to ~600 MHz; I'd expect most 550 G4 ZIFs to tolerate that much overclocking. Offhand, I don't know of any ZIFs (G3 *OR* G4) faster than 550 MHz currently available on the market. The 700 MHz to 1 GHz G4 upgrades I know of are all for AGP Macs, not ZIFs.... Haven't messed with the jumpers since I got this AIO a few weeks ago, but have successfully used 75 MHz bus in a Gossamer MT. That would allow you to theoretically run a G3 ZIF at 750 MHz, and a G4 at 625 MHz....but good luck finding a ZIF you can overclock that much. I've heard reports of some folks attaining stable ops at the 83 MHz setting, but I've no direct experience with this. HTH, --- Gene, a.k.a.
