The 4plus comes with PCL5 and PC parallel and serial ports standard see http://www.refurb-online.com/hp/hplj4.htm for specs So it won't work directly with a G3. There's a thread on this at http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/printer/2/1131.html Basically, this is about buying more RAM and a PS SIMM, effectively making it an LJ4M+. Another way is to use PowerPrint, which comes with a cable to connect parallel port to a Mac printer port and software drivers. It'd probably work sharing through a switch box with a PC.
