i haven't checked yet but they probably have other examples as well. 
there's also the silly "blue ice" machine modification, but i don't have
the link for that (they pulled out all the metal shields and colored
plastic so it's a see through case and added some small fluorescent
lights, and a little lcd monitor on the front.  looks kind of cool, but
it's got to cause allot of radio and tv interference, and having the hv
for the fluorescence any where near the logic board would make me
nervous, a wire poping off and touching something could do immense damage.)

basically, you can take the case apart remove the colored panels, and
paint the inside of the clear panels before putting it back together,
and as they point out doing it on the inside maintains the plastic
gloss, not to mention it protects the paint from scratches etc.
