Originally I bought a Sony 24x10x40, which worked okay, but would not boot
from a cd to save its life. Called Sony and got the cold shoulder the minute
I said Mac..

Apparently people at xlr8yourmac.com got this model to work, but mine was a
newer revision so no go.
Took it back and got a Sony 16x10x40 which you can still find at Staples,
and it works perfectly. I believe the model is the CRX1611.
Its a little slower by todays standards, but then again so is the dinosaur
G3, and it definitely works with the Mac. :)

Check out xlr8yourmac.com if you want a complete database with user reports
on what works and what doesnt. I check this before I buy ANYTHING third
party for my Mac.
