my network works fine with 8.1 - 8.6 - 9.2.2 in X turning sharing on is easy so i do the obvious and open Network configure: Built-in Ethernet Appletalk is active there are NO AppleTalk Zones ?? (i'm assuming i need an AppleTalk Zone for the networking to work) ??? computer info: (my desk) blue & white 450mhz - 512mb ram 8gb uwscsi (two partitions 6gb OS10 - 2gb OS9.2.2)
beige G3DT 333mhz - 384mb ram (this is the mac i do most of my work on) 40gb hd 5 partitions. 2gb for OS10 but not installed) 1gb OS9.2.2 - 512mb OS8.6 - 256mb OS8.1 - 35gb storage wallstreet 233mhz - 256mb ram - 6gb OS9.2.2 5500/225 - 95mb ram - 7gb OS8.6 8100/80 - 88mb ram - 500mb OS8.1 there are 2 x 233 G3DT's -1 x 266 iMac and another 5500/225 in other rooms around the house - apart from one of the other G3DT's occasionally making my server crash when it collects email they all work fine and everyone sees everyone else on the network too much information? not enough information?
