Here's a question I have a "new to me" G3 B&W 400
Everything in my installation / changeover has gone smoothly, except tonight when trying to scan slides with nikon ls2000 I kept getting errors....would do slide preview and would not complete acquire... Photoshop would quit with a type 3 error and I would get a "rescued from HD file in trash "VM file" I said ...VM= virtual memory --turned off virtual memory and everything seems ok...??? I have 384 mb of ram, grappler fast scsi card to drive the scanner, and adaptec ultra scsi 2940 for my start up...scanner is set to id 4 This scanner worked fine with VM on previous machine...ppc 7500 w/ xlr8 g3 400 Any thoughts appreciated -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
