Hi Peter, You mentioned I should contact you offlist if I needed any info or cables. Well, I'm about to attempt to install my slave HD into my G3 DT 233 Beige with open upper and lower bays. I'd like it to be the slave to the ATA 0 CD-Rom however I don't know if that's the best choice. I know I have either Rev B or C but I don't know which. I have the RagePro card that came with the G3 I think. System Profiler says "Card name: ATI,mach64_3DUPro Card model: ATI,GT-C" The Rom on my G3 is: $77D.45F1 I purchased a sled for the upper bay, item 814-0446. What did you mean when you wrote "The tray in my Beige G3 DT is a Rev. C."? I thought Rev. A or B or C referred to if the Mac supports slaves. Does it matter that I have the upper bay sled 815-0446 (for Rev C?) yet I don't know if my Mac is Rev 2 or 3? I believe I have the right screws, they came with the upper bay sled. I don't want to open up my DT until I'm sure I have all the right cables and parts. Thanks for any more info. Dennis (PS. If I'm planning to put the new slave on Bus 1 (CD-Rom) do I really need to replace my Bus 0 cable? Doesn't the CD-Rom ATA 0 cable have a connector for a slave? Also, I assume it makes sense to use the CD-Rom bus 1 because a slave cannot actual access data simultaneously with the master so if my HD's are on separate ATA busses I assume reading and writing between them would be faster.) -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
