Hello list: I'm still having the same problem when awakening my G4 867 running 10.2.1 from sleep, it takes about 5 minutes to get it's IP address back. It now gets its IP address from a HomePortal (BellSouth Internet Access) router/modem. There is also a G4 Dual 1 gig on the same network and it does not have this problem. Each is running it's own separate copy of X. Each is running the same 3rd party software....Xounds and FruitMenu. Other than that I have AppleWorks 6 and PhotoShop 7 on this one. Everything else is Apple Software. And ideas on this? Also, I never bought AppleCare, so Phone Support is expired but if I should call them with this problem how much will they charge? Back when I was a PC user, calls to Microsoft required you to take out a second mortgage. Any help would be appreciated.
