I know that Dan Knight has been a benefit to me with his different Mac
lists. When I bought my first used Quadra 950, I benefitted from the
Quadlist and then when I went to my used 7200, I benefitted from the
PCI PowerMac list. When I bought my first G4, this G List was very
helpful in making the transition from OS 9 to X.....but now, I have two
modern Macs (G4 867 bought in 11/2001 and a G4 dual 1 gig bought in
8/2002). Both are happily running 10.2 and I'd like to see a new list
on Lowendmac.com that addresses Modern Mac's running X.
I know that a lot of you are using G3's and upgraded PCI-PowerPC's and
the list has been mainly concerned with those issues lately.....none of
which relates to anything that I'm interested in. I don't have to
depend on voodoo and prayer to install X using things like Xpostfacto
and I sure as hell don't care about issues with G3's (I know a lot of
you will tell me to just delete those messages).
Dan, how about a new list specifically related to G4's running X? I've
searched about for other lists and all that I've found is
'themacintoshguy' and it's very difficult to find any intelligent posts
there. I know that this site is devoted to Low End Mac's but please
consider a G4 X list.

Respectfully,

Tim Collier
