If you'll recall, there was a LEM OS X list. It was dropped and subscribers were referred to a collection of lists at <http://lists.themacintoshguy.com/Lists/>. I see no reason to change that. LEM lists are almost uniformly organized around hardware groupings, but a great deal of the discussions have always been about software. This is nothing new. The only difference is that OS X is a new and current topic, whereas discussions of a 3 or 4 year old logic board are of diminishing interest.
Tight integration of hardware and operating system has been a hallmark of Apple products for more than 20 years and Apple has officially joined their PPC 7XXX based hardware to OS X.
