OK, so X does not support my trusty Stylewriter 1500 over a serial port connection. Next easiest for me is to hook up a network laser printer- either a HP 5MP or an Apple Laserwriter Select 630 via local talk. This is for my home setup which will consist of the printer and a Beige MT which I am in the process of hot rodding to run X.2.
Neither of the printers have a ethernet port, but both have localtalk ports. If I must go 10BT, I will have to configure a Lan to parrallel adapter to work (which I have). Can you tell I am trying to do this on the cheap? Thanks, Len -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
