I find that I have GC and iPhoto that comes with OS X and then
iViewMedia which comes with Toast.

I know the simple photo editing that comes with GC and the file
translations make it something I will go on using.

The question is what advantages these programs have towards each
other in terms of organizing, cataloging, viewing and archiving my
photos. Currently I find that iPhoto and iViewMedia are going unused,
and that I just download pics w/ ImageCapture and use GC for
everything.

So many people rave about iPhoto, and I have heard good things about
iViewMedia, but really do not know if I am missing something that
either of these two programs can do better than what I am doing.

What is your experience? What are the advantages of one over the
other? any tips or tricks?

TIA
