I dont have my surround sound speakers plugged in because we're going to move my computer into a different room soon so I dont know if its just my internal speaker or the audio altogether. It hissed for about 2 minutes and then it stopped. About a second after it stopped, my PMG4/400 crashed. After making peace with myself from not saving, I decided to leave my computer on and see if it would make the noise without playing the game. After about an hour, it made no noise. I then decided to play the game again. A few minutes into the game, after saving, it made the sound again and within a few seconds, my computer crashed. After reading all the other messages I had come to no other conclusion than that there was something wrong with my disk.... well i was right.. I ran diskwarrior on all my partitions and now everything's fine and dandy.. I suggest that everyone who is having this problem to, if you have it, run diskwarrior, or run something similar to it. Maybe Norton disk doctor or something like that. If all else fails you could always reinstall your OS(s).
