I was at CompUsa & saw a Maxtor ATA/133 PCI card for $49. http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=294619 I read somewhere there was some deal between Maxtor & Acard (who makes PCI IDE controllers for Max), so could this Maxtor ATA/133 card be used in a Mac? (the above Mac driver on a CD kinda implies this). If so, this could be a cost savings for Mac users. ATA 100 & 133 controllers go for $80 & up. A Sonnet ATA/133 is around $100 (they OEM Acard, but someone told me there might have been a recent change). I just ordered an Acard ATA/66 for $54 from OWC (for my old 8500, G4/400 accelerated), so I might have wasted some money. B Yen -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
