It is NOT an original Radeon PCI Mac Edn., I do more 2D wthan 3D on my G3 so I wasn't over bothered about the 3D being slower, it's pearly in UT and Quake3 so I don't care :). > Q2.Do you just replace the "stock" ATI Rage 128Y 16MB card/MP3 Decoder > in the ATA66 PCI slot with the Radeon? Yes, BUT, you can put the ATi Rage 128 in one of the other PCI slots. If your thinking about dual monitor, the Radeon 7000 comes with a DVI-to-SVGA adapter that allows attachment of another monitor to the Radeon's DVI flat panel port. It also comes with a Mac-VGA plug so you can use older Apple monitors on one of the ports. > Q3. Will the Radeon playback DVD's from my internal Apple CD-Rom/DVD > player w/o additional software? Yes. I just use the DVD Player in OS X 10.2. Works fine. > Note: I am not interested in Quartz Extreme at this time. Hmmm... my jury is still out on QE actually. I have noticed it has adverse effects on other OpenGL stuff (namely the excellent free driving sim 'Racer' <www.racer.nl>) and it may also be slowing my games down. I'm going to turn it off and see if it still works as well in 2D and then decide. > BTW.
