Same thing happened to me when I moved my 7500 up to a G4 350. This is
what I did....

1. Remove the Radeon card
2. Trash the ATI extensions, prefs., and control panel
3. Restart and re-install the ATI software
4. Shutdown
5. Install the Radeon
6. Restart

This fixed the very same problem that I had when I went from a G3 400 to
the G4 350

Hope it works for you

Andy

>I just got an OWC G4 533 to put into my beige MT. Rest of system is: OS
>9.2.2 (I was waiting for the 533 to install Jag), 768meg, Radeon 7000,
>2940U2b card driving a 9g SCA drive, CDRW, and orig CD and 6g HD.
>
>Everything was running fine with the orig 266mhz. I put in the 533 and I
>get the following problem:
>
>With the ATI Resource Manager extention enabled, the system freezes when
>the first icon or 2 (it varies) appears on the desktop. If I disable the
>extention, I can use the Radeon. However it runs at about the speed of a
>6100's video : P .
