Why are you doing SCSI? I currently have 3 IDE drives : 2- 40GB and 1- 30GB attached to an Acard ATA-100+ PCI card. Haven't had any problems with heat and they all run at 7200rpm. You might be better off taking this route with an ATA PCI card since IDE drives are much cheaper these days.
