WHOA, I think I figured out why the system was so stable when I was using
X. First off I put a 30 GIG IBM drive into my mac, it isn't an apple
branded drive and works great in my PeeCee, the model is 307030. It's a
7200 RPM drive. I was running X on that drive and OS 9.2 on the original
6 Gig drive that came with my mac. When OS X was being very flaky I
removed the 6 Gig drive and decided to install 9.2 on the 30 Gig drive.
Well, now 9.2 is very unstable, seems its the non apple branded IBM drive
making it unstable, I will install OS X on the 6 Gig drive and see if
that cures it unstableness, will be a few days before I get the chance to
do this so I will let you know when I have done it, to see if that cured
it.
