I have a B&W G3 that has been upgraded from a REV 1 to a REV 2 mobo with a Sonnet G4 500MHz processor and 1gb of ram running on system 9.21. Until a week ago this machine has been running with no problems. Then it began going to a bomb symbol cursor during the ram test portion of startup. One or two restarts would get it up and running just fine. Then today it did the usual but wouldn't go on restart no matter how many times I tried. I zapped the PRAM, pressed the cuda switch, pulled all the ram out and tried one stick in # 1 and then #4 slot and then did the same with another stick. The same result each time. The computer starts normally until it gets to the ram test and then hangs with a spinning wheel cursor for several minutes and then goes to the bomb icon.
Anybody know what's going on? Thanks. Charlie -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
