Howdy all. I've got a small business network with 6 Macs. They are all ethernetted via cat5's with hubs thru-out the office. When I have all Macs in OS 9, there is absolutely no problem seeing & applesharing. As a matter of fact, there is no trouble seeing FROM OS 10. The problem is seeing FROM the OS 9's. Everything is there; i.e.: in the chooser (OS 9) I can select the OS X computer, just like it's going to be there, and when I go to open 1 of the drives in the OS X, there is nothing. There should be 4 choices, but there are none.
All of the file sharing settings are set up via Apple's instructions (and on-board help). I know it's something stupid - getting this close & having the final window come up empty, whew! This is why I can't run "X" all the time, the "X" network goes only 1 way. Configurations: G4/1ghz MP/1.5gb RAM/2, 100gb hdd's/OS 10.1.5/OS 9.2.2 G4/450MP/1.5gb RAM/2, 100gb hdd's /OS 9.2.2 2, SuperMac S900 G3/450mhz/1gb RAM/4, 100gb hdd's/e-net pci card/ide pci card /OS 9.1 2, SuperMac C500 G3/400mhz/144mb RAM/4gb hdd/e-net pci card/OS 9.1 There is no problem printing to any of the 4 printers on the network from any computer on the network.
