As I understand it it has got something to do with the G3 multiplier, 
and hardware limitations in the Beige, and blue and white G3's. The 
Bus speed in particular is a stumbling block in the Beige, I have my 
beige set to an 83Mhz bus, and most can be set at that speed, but the 
stock bus is still 66mhz.

I did read somehwere that the the ungrade manufacturers, are working 
on faster ZIF's for the G3's though, whether they'll ever eventuate 
is another question.
