You can sign up for an EarthLink account during the setup process for 
any new Mac or use an existing account, be that dialup, DSL, cable or 
T1. Satellite might be more challenging, but having just set up a 
friend's new eMac on an existing cable account, I'd say you could go 
from box to online is less than 10 minutes if you're prepared and 
organized.
