The Beige machines were designed for PC66 SDRAM, but these machines will certainly operate with PC100, PC133 and PC150 SDRAM ... (almost) any size, and in any order. >> I just purchased this Rk-Byte PC133 256mb 32x64 SDRAM "low-profile" and it worked in the Beige G3 but it only recognized 128mb of it's memory. >> The Beige machines expect the SDRAM sticks to have 16 chips. There are problems with 256 MB sticks which are half-populated (these read as 128 MB on a Beige) and 512 MB sticks which are half-populated (these read as 256 MB on a Beige). >> It tested 256mb in a PC. I was trying to figure out what Mac's in would work in. I was thinking of just selling it, since it doesn't recognize all the memory. >> If you populate your Beige with SDRAM which is "Unbuffered with EPROM" and has sixteen chips, then you won't have any problems at all. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
