Depends on a couple things, Beige G3s take 168pin 3.3v PC-66,100, or 
133 SDRAM. However, they top out at 768MB [3x 256MB DIMMs] and they 
will not recognize DIMMs that are really high density memory chips, 
like those you bought.

Go to www.owcomputing and look up RAM specifically for your Beige G3, 
they will give the specs of the memory in the item description and then 
you can simply look for those specs where ever you want to buy from.
