I was thinking just this very email would be nice if I could get a second opinion on my own.
My onion is that with this hardware this is what happens. PowerMac 7300 with a 40 MHz bus, G3 450/1mg 138 mg ram, Jaguar, ATI 3D pro 8 mg. Vs B&W G3 with a 100 MHz bus, G3 300/1mg 256 meg of ram, Jaguar, ATI 128 pro 16 mg. In my opinion the B&W would be faster with the better video card, the faster bus speed and double the memory. I think the 150 MHz difference will make the 300 and the 450 feel about the same with the difference is video and motherboard improvements of the B&W. I just traded up from my Franken Mac 7300 to a B&W G3 and I am trying to tell myself that this will be about the same or better than I current have as a GUI and system responsiveness on my 7300.
