Then your specific zif had a heat dissipating die cover over the actual cpu
and resistors. The cushion/washer has no heat dissipation properties. If
there is space, then you need to get a tube of silicon (or ask your local
Apple service center if they would provide you with enough to cover the die,
they usually will).
