My two cents worth: If you have a PCI slot that's 66 MHz and not 33 Mhz, then an ATI Radeon 7000 (has S-video out) should play DVDs if you have a DVD player and a monitor with S-video in. (ATI has an interesting trade-in offer - apparently any old video card (?).) I believe the min. CPU speed for DVD on a G3 is 400 Mhz (but you can easily oc the 333 MHz CPU, if nec). Burning DVDs - I believe Pioneer has the 'most' compatible Apple unit (or maybe Toshiba). The DVD blanks must be compatible with the burner (I say that because not all CDR/CDRW discs are cross compatible). You don't say how much Ram you have - there could be a min. for that, too. To convert analog VHS to digital format - is there an app that does that? Sorry if I've asked more questions than answered. George
