I have a G3/300 ZIF module that was pulled from a rev A beige G3 minitower. Shouldn't I be able to use this in a G3/233 All-In-One (rev B)?
I swapped the ZIF, then pulled the red jumper block, and set 4 individual jumper on the pins recommended on OWC's tech center to the settings for 300MHz. The Mac starts up, but when it gets to the desktop it freezes. I tried a few other jumper settings, but all had the same result. If I put the red jumper block back in, even with the 300 ZIF installed, it starts up OK, but ASP reports the processor speed at 233, which makes sense because that's what the red jumper apparently is set for.
