There doesn't seem to be. I, and many others, learned the hard way. When I got my 40 gig IDE HD, I first installed OS 9.2 and then tried to install OS X. I have always had the habit of partioning which is always a good idea, but I, unfortunately, divided the partition in 3 which is more than 8 gig. It helps to read the fine print. One of the things that I have noticed with later versions of OS X is that when I installed a version of OS 9.2 in the same partition with OS X and another version of OS 9.2 in another parition (of the same hard drive) everytime I try to boot into OS 9.2 from OS X.2 in the other partiton (of the same Hard drive), I keep rebooting back to OS X. But installing OS 9.2 on my other 20 gig SCSI drive worked. I like keeping a more trimed down version of OS 9.2 for classic mode in OS X. I don't know if others have experienced the same thing in their Beige G3 or in other Macs. ===== __________________________________________ alternate e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sig: Specs: Beige G3 DT/466mhz, OS 9.2.2 & 10.2 __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
