Price wise, you would be best going with the $200 USD copy of 
Retrospect. I just priced a new SCSI DVD-RW for $2,200 USD! That was 
far too much for my shop so we might go Firewire soon. I have not 
found any Firewire DVD-RW's of reasonable price yet but have a few 
enclosures of my own I will likely use with an IDE internal drive.

You might want to consider going that route, too.
