I have to say I sure am sorry I upgraded to 10.2.3. I
wouldn't have done it, considering the complaints
about it but I still keep hoping that my muliple
monitor problem get's fixed: I continue to have the
volumes line up halfway on each monitor which is not
pretty; it started doing this in Jaguar. Kind of bugs
me. So don't upgrade unless you feel you have to.

Anyway, Now I'm having scsi problems. Right after I
updated, my second monitor went blank and I lost my
mouse cursor so I had to do a forced restart but it
somehow threw out my SCSI drive out of wack as I
couldn't mount OS X. I disconnected my scsi chain and
restarted and OS X mounted. Then I reconnected my scsi
chain and OS X mounted again. But ever since, things
just aren't right. I recall having this problem of the
second monitor suddenly going dark in previous verions
of OS X.

The color ball is bouncing around if I do anything
related to any of my scsi drives. I can't burn
anything if it's on my scsi drive because it is real
slow-like crawling. I was using iTunes and it took
forever for it to update a list of MP3's. Plus the
system itself drags if I have my scsi drive connected.
So something is definitely amiss with OS X.

The last time, I had problems with 10.1.4 and couldn't
print anymore even after installing 10.1.5; so I
decided to reinstall everything back to 10.1.3 and
never updated again. Apple has made updating something
to fear, especially since reinstalling is not quite as
simple as classic OS. You wonder why they don't have
an uninstaller like Windows.

I have a feeling I'm going to have to do a reinstall
again because what else can I do? Luckily I rarely use
OS X and haven't felt any particular pressure to use
it much yet. Why use something when most things don't
work and you go slower but I do like to keep up? I
suppose in time everything will be upgraded.

Any advice or similar problems?
