I believe Apple System Profiler will show that...otherwise it's a matter 
of opening it up, and hoping they didn't stick a sticker over the real 
manufacturer.

That said I doubt that you can make it work if it's not supported. More 
devices are added with iTunes upgrades, but the latest (iTunes 3) is OS 
X only.

It would be nice if they released the information on creating drivers or 
config files for the CD burners so people could roll their own (or other 
manufacturers could create the needed components!)
