I'm a novice at burning copy CDs, but I want to make working copies of my utility CDs, such as TechTool Pro and Disk Warrior, and keep the originals safe in their cases.
I already tried to make a working copy of TechTool, but when I start up or restart the computer while holding down the C key, the computer won't boot from the copy CD like it does the original. I made the copy using Toast Deluxe 4.1.2. What I did was tell Toast to make a temporary partition, then I inserted the original TechTool CD into the computer and copied it onto the partition, then had Toast burn a copy from the partition. The copy CD that resulted looks just like the original when it mounts on the desktop (same icon), and it opens up to look exactly like the original too. But in order for TechTool to be able to fix things, the computer has to be able to boot from it, and it won't do it. Did I do something wrong?
