G'day Mark. Hope you're getting on ok with the upgrade.
For your info, I installed a 500 G4 zif and a Radeon 7000 PCI , along with 768 meg. (OWC). Dead easy, 5 minute job. Everything was fine, so after 24 I overclocked to 533. Seemed ok. Quitting from 9.2.2, Nortons 7 told me major problem on the 8 Gig Jag partition. Ran Norton DD from boot disk. Took 3 goes to fix. Thought I'd run speed disk while I was at it, as highly fragmented. Result, no access to Jag. Tried everything. Backed up already, so ended withg clean format/install Installer freezes just before first disk cleans up. Tried from original CD drive, but even worse. I'm going to re-clock to 500, but I suspect 500 G4 Zif and installer are incompatible. The only way to boot into 9.2.2 is to remove interface connector from CD, cudo re-set does not work. Also pulled Radeon. OK to replace lead after 30 mins. (power disconnected of course) Regards Santa -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
