As other replies have indicated - you probably got an old (new) PRAM
battery.  Depending on where you got it, it may have been sitting around
for ages.  I still use an old freeware battery tester utility (circa 1997)
placed in the start-up folder that works well at least through 9.2.2.  Not
sure if it's still around on any of the shareware sites (Battery Tester
1.1)  If you can't find it and want a copy, please email me directly (off
list) and I'll send it to you.

Now the question.  I just acquired a B/W G3 450 Rev 2 board.  Can anyone
tell me which of the silver button switches behind the PCI slots is the
cuda reset button and what purpose the remaining button serves?
