p.s., i've never tried virex, but by far the best virus detection 
program i've found is sophos, from <sophos.com>, free unlimeted demo, 
or buy it for commercial use.  it's very, very fast, friendly, not 
overburdoned with bells and whistles, and will find pc and mac viruses 
which is very handy if you want to protect virtual pc or pc's on your 
network from your macs when you do file transfers from one platform to 
the other.
