That price is "top dollar". You can do much better for yourself if you are willing to look around. Check ebay under macintosh and search for adequate machinery. If you are in Canada, I can probably point you in the right direction. A local dealer just sold out his remaining stock of G4's (used) for $1000.00 CAD recently. I would have got one if I didn't already have one. I don't see why you couldn't use OS X on it, but, as I said before, that's top dollar for what is being offered.
