I don't know much about G4 or OS X. I don't know if there are such things as extent B-tree errors or bitmap errors (if there is try some disk repair utility like Norton or such, you should ALWAYS have something like it (I never install any OS without a Utility backup for the system in case of errors). However to do a favor to the people in the list please explain this a little better:
