G'day again Mark Actually I was thinking of the Mac firmware update as well as the Radeon update.
I'm pretty sure they recommend running the Radeon update from 9.x My Radeon 7000 freezes 9.2.2 if I boot with a monitor plugged in. plugging into the old video outlet allows booting, even with card installed.
