Hello all, Resending this, I apologize if two come through. I'm the proud and probably temporary owner of a Beige G3 300, with DVD and the A/V card with hardware decoder. I picked it up at auction and am trying to get it running well enough to decide whether I keep or sell. Anyway, it's a G3/300/160MB/7GB connected to an Applevision 17"monitor. When I start up, the screen comes up, I can watch extensions load, but as soon as I get to the beginnings of the desktop the screen goes black. The green "on" light stays on, but nothing else. If I boot without extensions by holding down shift, everything works fine. If I use extensions manager to start with no active extensions or control panels, I'm back to black. I have booted off the 9.0 on the drive, Norton 5.0, 9.0 install, 8.5 install, and OSX install, same results with all of them. Have zapped PRAM 4 times in a row, rebuilt desktop, reseated RAM, VRAM, and personality card. Clean install of 9.0 and trash old system folder. I don't have another monitor handy to check that, but this seems to be a software problem, or maybe a dying display card? It seems like this might be something that someone has seen before, but I haven't turned up much. Any help would be appreciated, I'd hate to part this out. Best, Joel
