somewhere along the line, someone ventured that X, or was it only Jag, could not see the SCSI chain. I can assure you that one both of my B&W G3s, the external SCSI chain is recognized: a Yamaha burner at 1 and a Microtek scanner at 2. Occasionally, there is a hot-swapable SCSIHD at 5 as well. Systemprofiler shows them all. And they work, too. For a while, both machines had UW2 cards and drive in them, one of the machines(this one) had two such drives and now IDE drive at all, and both worked fine under 10.1.5. Nevertheless, I threw out all the SCSI drives in favor of new, big and fast IDE drives in Master/slave config. Be that as it may, The beast booted off the UW2 drive running off the 29160 card (yes, there is a X driver for that card).
