Hi all; I just got my G3-300MT and have a couple of questions.(PeterH, wherefore art thou lurking?):=) Will the Revision 3C Romm chip from my 266DT work on a Revision 1 logic board? Someone farkled with it. It has a RageII+DVD chip on it. My 300 tower is configured as follows:
ATA bus 0= ATAPI 24X CD SCSI Bus 1= Quantum Viking 4GB HDD ID=0, driven off SCSI card SCSI Bus 0= 100 MB Zip ID=5, driven off MOBO SCSI connector In PCI slot $A1= Atto SCSI card,Apple 53C875, Model#NCR 875- driving the HDD. The card also has a 68 pin external connector. If swapping theRomm chip will work, I want to swap my ATA drives (2) from my DT to the MT. I may have to move the 4MB VRAM upgrade also. I might swap the Ram around also, if they are the same height. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. TIA --Thanks; Rev.
