I have had the auto dialup working in OS X. I am not sure its 
reliability at this point. But I did notice that there are many options 
to mess this up in the Network System Preference. In the location of 
choice, I chose Network Port Configurations from the "show" pull down 
menu. The I clicked and dragged the modem to the top of the list. When 
trying to find a connection, OS X check for these connections in order.

Also, in the PPP options (while similarly "showing" internal modem) I 
had to check the "Connect Automatically When Needed"  box.

If I made any sense, I hope this helps someone. I love the G-List!
