I use a Sony Trinitron > 17" PC monitor as my spare monitor when setting > up Macs of all varieties and it works fine. > > does it need to have the switches on it? I have a 19" flattube monitor (capable of 1600x1200 @ 75hz) and usually drive it at 1280x1024 @ 72hz and 32 bit color. Will the beige g3 with rage pro chipset do that in osx? or do I need to get one of those nifty radeon 7000 cards? Thanks for your help.
